The Southern Safety Group works to promote and raise the standards of Occupational Health and Safety and to further the good name of the Safety industry as a whole. The Code of Conduct sets out the principles by which Members agree to behave.
Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a condition of membership of the Southern Safety Group and willful breaches of the code may lead to expulsion from the Group.
All members are expected to:
¡ Encourage the friendly exchange of information between Members on practical, technical and safety matters;
¡ Behave at all times with responsibility and integrity;
¡ Foster co-operation between all Members;
¡ Demonstrate honesty and transparency in all dealings with the Group and its Members;
¡ Not knowingly misrepresent facts, or mislead the Group and or any of it’s Members;
¡ Notify the Group of any matter which might adversely affect the Groups reputation within the industry;
¡ Maintain the reputation, standing and good name of the Group & its Members;
¡ Generally watch over, promote and safeguard the interests of the general public by establishing and maintaining a high standard of professional behaviour with the object that membership of the Group shall denote integrity and a high quality of service;
¡ Help promote and develop the general interests of all Members of the Group;
These rules have been produced as an aid to Raising the Standards within the
Southern Safety Group, although no Code of Conduct can lay down detailed rules of behaviour to cover every event. The voluntary acceptance of this Code by members will prove guidance in improving the Groups standing within the industry.
